The Day

A guide to the day's proceedings, so that you know what to expect.

2:00 PM

Guest Arrival

Guests are welcomed at St. Mary's Church. Please make your way to the church and find your seats.

2:30 PM

The Ceremony

The ceremony will begin at 2:30 PM before family and friends. Handkerchiefs at the ready.

4:00 PM

Drinks Reception

Please make your way to the venue for canapés and drinks.
Note: the venue is a 15/20 minute drive from the Church.

6:30 PM

Wedding Breakfast

Please take your seats for dinner and speeches.

9:00 PM

Evening Reception

The evening commences with the first dance, followed by live music and dancing well into the night.

12:00 PM

Last Orders & Carriages

A final drink, one last dance, and carriages away. Do ensure your taxi is booked in good time.

The Venue

Pim Hill Barn, Harmer Hill, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY4 3DL. Set within the beautiful Shropshire countryside, with ample complimentary parking on site.

By Car

The venue is situated just off the A528, approximately seven miles north of Shrewsbury. Sat-nav postcode: SY4 3DL. Complimentary parking is available for all guests.

By Train

Shrewsbury station is well connected from Birmingham, Manchester, and London Euston (via a change at Birmingham New Street). A taxi from the station to the venue takes approximately fifteen minutes.

Frequently Asked

What is the dress code?

Gentlemen are kindly requested to wear morning dress (tails). Ladies, we invite you to wear formal day dresses — hats and fascinators are very welcome but entirely optional. The venue is a converted barn in the countryside, so do bear in mind that there may be uneven ground between the car park and the entrance.

Can I bring a plus one?

As we have a limited number of places, our guest list has been carefully considered. Should your invitation include a guest, they will be named on your invitation. If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Is there parking at the venue?

Indeed — Pim Hill Barn has ample complimentary parking on site. Please do take care driving down the lane on your approach to the venue.

Will there be transport provided?

We are not arranging group transport on this occasion, so we would ask that guests kindly make their own arrangements. We recommend booking a local taxi well in advance — numbers can be found in the Travel & Stay section above.

Are children welcome?

Whilst we adore your little ones, we have taken the decision to keep the day as an adults-only affair. We do hope this affords you a well-deserved evening off.

When should I RSVP by?

We kindly ask that you respond by the 20th of November 2026, so that we may confirm final numbers with our caterers. A formal save-the-date will be sent in due course.

What happens if the weather is bad?

It is February in England — we are very much planning for all eventualities. The ceremony and celebrations take place entirely within the barn, so whatever the weather, we shall be warm and dry.
